The door stood ajar

August 7, 2014

The door stood ajar
Translucent lamp in the corner
The clean sheets on bed
Pillows on one end
Soft spread cover on the other
Stainless red carpet
A new Cristal bottle
The down facing glasses
And then the door was shut.
For endless spins around the sun
The lopsided flickering lamp in the corner
The crumpled sheet on bed
Pillow and the spread cover
On the stained carpet.
The Cristal stood without a drop
lipstick stained a glass
The other was next to the dangling rope
And they left the room.
High pitched laugh and shy smiles
And the door again stood ajar.
